They are not shared with your child<br \/>\n \tTheir height and weight (as well as their age, sex, and ethnicity) will be used to calculate child body mass index centile (this is different to adult BMI)<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Here&#039;s what happens during NCMP height and weight measurements\" width=\"422\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LbYiriAfut0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Receiving your child\u2019s results<\/p>\n<p>You will receive a letter with your child\u2019s height and weight measurements. The letter will let you know if your child is following their predicted growth pattern for their age, sex and height.\u00a0 This information can be used alongside what you know about your child\u2019s health, eating habits, behaviour, energy and activity levels and help you to choose any next steps you would like to make<\/p>\n<p>View your child\u2019s results and growth charts online by signing up to the Parent Information Portal.<\/p>\n<p>If your child\u2019s growth is outside the expected range for their age, sex, and height, you may also get a follow-up email, text, or call from the Public Health Nursing team where you can chat through any concerns and how to get more support.<\/p>\n<p>Support may include:<\/p>\n<p> \tHelp with routines such as mealtimes, being active, and sleep<br \/>\n \tSupport to set boundaries and navigate behaviour like picky eating<br \/>\n \tInformation about local support or specialist services<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>About NCMP<\/p>\n<p>The National Child Measurement Programme (NCMP) is a public health programme in England, providing data \\&#8217;to monitor the patterns and trends, and the prevalence, of underweight, healthy weight, overweight and obesity in children as well as data on child height\\&#8217;.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>\u00a0What happens on the day?
