Our service works with children and young people aged 5-19 to support their health and emotional wellbeing needs within school, home and community settings. The service follows the Healthy Child Programme, designed from evidence by the UK Government to support the public health of children and families. The programme is based on six areas of health and wellbeing:\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tHealthy lifestyles, exercise, nutrition\u00a0

\n \tPersonal hygiene
\n \tOral health
\n \tEmotional wellbeing such as managing feelings and coping strategies
\n \tSmoking, vaping and substance abuse\u00a0<\/p>\n

The flu vaccine is offered to children within all year groups from September to December. The invitation to complete the online consent form is sent via school, in advance of the school session.\u00a0<\/p>\n
