Did you know that washing your hands properly should take as long as singing ‘Happy Birthday’ twice?

This is an activity the whole family can get involved in, to help children understand the importance of good hand hygiene.

To help reduce the risk of spreading illnesses such as cold and flu, everyone should wash their hands after:


  • Using the toilet

  • Before cooking and eating

  • After stroking pets

  • After touching the rubbish bin

  • After messy play.
