Free children\u2019s asthma training sessions are being offered to teachers, parents, carers, youth workers and social workers in Nottinghamshire.<\/p>\n
Why should you learn more about asthma in children?<\/p>\n
\tAround 1 in 11 children and young people live with asthma (that\u2019s roughly 3 in every classroom).
\n \tChildren can die from asthma.
\n \tUK has one of the highest emergency admissions and death rates for childhood asthma in Europe.
\n \tEducation about asthma will give accurate information and guidance to reduce risks.<\/p>\n
There is now free online training available for you to learn more about asthma in children and young people. It only takes 45 minutes to complete and can be revisited\/completed at your own pace.<\/p>\n
It contains such valuable information on supporting a child or young person with asthma – an acute attack can have devastating consequences.<\/p>\n
This nationally recognised resource has been developed by expert NHS health professionals in consultation with parents, teachers, nursery workers, sports coaches, and children\u2019s activity leaders.<\/p>\n
Anyone who uses the resource will gain the knowledge and confidence to support children and young people with asthma, deal with emergency situations and could help save lives.<\/p>\n
