Being careful that your desire to protect them doesn\u2019t mistakenly send a message that you don\u2019t think he or she is competent to handle things.<br \/>\n \tPraise your child about their achievements and recognise even the small things to focus on the best in your child.<br \/>\n \tTry not to push your child into taking on more than he or she can realistically handle.<br \/>\n \tCreating opportunities for your child to contribute in some specific way.<br \/>\n \tAs a parent try to model positive coping strategies to allow your child to develop positive coping strategies.<\/p>\n<p>Most importantly children need to know that there is an adult in their life who believes in them and loves them unconditionally!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp; Helping children and young people enjoy good emotional health and wellbeing is really important.
