Closing the Gap: Breastfeeding Support For All
#WorldBreastfeedingWeek2024

Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first six months with many recognised benefits for both mother and baby’s health. World Breastfeeding Week 2024 is focused on ensuring that everyone has access to breastfeeding support and opportunities.

Whether in the early days and weeks of establishing breastfeeding, experiencing challenges, weaning your baby or continuing to breastfeed when returning to work the Healthy Child Programme in West Sussex and Brighton and Hove is available to provide support wherever you are on your breastfeeding journey and for as long as you wish to breastfeed.

 

 

MILK! drop-ins run by our experienced infant feeding advisors and peer supporters are welcoming sessions available across the counties where you can come along and meet with other parents and carers and to access breastfeeding support and answers to your questions or concerns regarding breast or mixed feeding.
