How can you support healthy sleep for your child?

Encourage a consistent bedtime routine which limits stimulating activities such as TV, Phones and tablets, and instead promotes calm activities such as reading a book.

Encourage your child to go to bed at the same time every night.

Try dimming the lights before bed as this will help your child to feel sleepy.

The sleep charity also has lots of help and advice for parents – https://thesleepcharity.org.uk/

If you do require any support with routines or have issues with your child settling and waking at night, please do contact your school nurse for support.
