Within the School Nursing Service we\u00a0work with other health professionals\u00a0 to ensure that\u00a0the appropriate information is shared with your school so that\u00a0you receive the support and care that\u00a0you need whilst in school. \u00a0If you need a care plan in school, to support\u00a0your medical needs then the school nurse can work with the health professionals who are treating your\u00a0health needs\u00a0to ensure this is in place. We will only share information about your health with non-health\u00a0professionals\u00a0if we have your permission to do so.<\/p>\n
There is statutory guidance for schools as\u00a0to how they should work together with parents\/carer and health professionals to support pupils with medical needs. Our service provides training for school staff about supporting children with medical needs.
