Helping fund activities for children with identified needs in the family.

Help is available from Active Respite for families in Nottinghamshire and Nottingham City to access activities in their local area.

Active Respite funds children with identified needs in the family (such as financial, mental health, safeguarding) to attend activities they are passionate for.

A spokesperson said: “We want children to have equal opportunity to get active, and also for carers to have some time to themselves whilst the children are active!

“We cover a range of activities from sport to music to art. We even support children financially to attend holiday clubs during half-terms if their usual activity isn’t available, or they have a higher threshold of need.

“All we ask is that the child is aged between 5 and 11, live in Nottingham/Nottinghamshire, and have an identified need by a professional such as a support worker, SENCO at school, or GP.”
