‘Make A Noise About Bullying’ is this year’s theme.
Adults, children and schools in Nottinghamshire are being urged to support Anti-Bullying Week 2023.
Coordinated in England, Wales and Northern Ireland by the Anti-Bullying Alliance, this year it has the theme ‘Make A Noise About Bullying’ and will take place from 13th to 17th November.
The week will be kicked off with Odd Socks Day on Monday 13th November, where adults and children wear odd socks to celebrate what makes us all unique.
Teachers and children wanted a theme that empowered them to do something positive to counter the harm and hurt that bullying causes.
As usual, schools will be able to download free teaching resources and themed assemblies.
These will focus on the activities we can take to encourage young people to consider what bullying means to us, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can do to stop bullying.
This Anti-Bullying Week let’s come together to have discussions about what bullying means to us, how banter can turn into something more hurtful, and what we can do to stop bullying.
Together, we can make a difference and take a stand against bullying.
