As a parent/carer, you may feel anxious with your child starting school but please do not worry, it is a natural progression in their life. They will be building their confidence, making friends and learning new skills.

In order to prepare for school readiness, an independent charity called PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years) have developed a toolkit for parents, teachers and professionals to work together to help improve the transition process for children starting school.

Please see: https://www.pacey.org.uk/partnerships/starting-school-together/ for further information and support for school readiness.

The School Nursing Team and Woodside Family Hub will also be holding a School Readiness event on Thursday 30th May at 2-3:30pm at St Bartholomew’s Church of England Academy on Bredon Avenue (CV3 2LP) for 4 to 5 year olds and parents. Please see attached flyer and join us for this event!
