Making the Move: Primary to Secondary

If your child is due to start secondary school at the start of the next academic term, they will probably be feeling a mix of emotions, from excitement to worry. As their grownup, it's likely to be a scary and emotional time for you to as they move on to the next stage of their life.

To assist when it comes to supporting your child as they make this move, Health for Teens asked two year seven students and a secondary school teacher to answer some of the most common questions that year six pupils have about starting in a new school.

By watching this short video with your child, you can discuss some of the concerns that they might be having and work out ways in which you can support them during this transition period.
