About this site
Health for Kids introduces a new and different way for primary school children to learn about their health.
All the content has been produced by our health experts, often re-written from other trusted NHS information such as NHS Choices. The website is primarily a health promotion website, covering subjects that promote a healthy body and mind. It is not about managing serious illnesses for which more specialist websites already exist.
Created in consultation with children
The website has been designed and created by Diva Creative team with the help of pupils from primary schools from Leicestershire. The children helped us to think about the type of information that they would like to see on the website, how they would like to see the website designed, about the different worlds that feature on the website, and the games.
For children, for parents, for teachers
The website features a section for parents – providing more detailed information from our school nurses.
Health for Kids was created by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) with Diva Creative. The website for children is now being adopted by other NHS providers across the UK including; Hertfordshire Community Trust, and Coventry School Nursing, bringing the interactive and informative content to the attention of a much wider audience. There is now a local area section where NHS providers can include their local information for parents.
