Who are we?
We are a small team of professionals who are either qualified nurses or who have had extensive training and experience of working with people with Learning Disabilities. We aim to work with families and agencies to improve health outcomes for children and young people with a learning disability.
What is "behaviour that challenges"?
Behaviours that put the safety of the child/others at risk. This can have a significant impact on the child’s life and that of others.
Getting enough sleep is essential for our physical, emotional and mental well-being. Sleep deprivation can affect our attention, concentration, memory, behaviour, makes us feel anxious, irritable, overactive, aggressive and depressed. Looking after your child who has a sleep problem can be exhausting and have a significant impact on them and your whole family.
