Safeguarding means to protect children from physical, emotional neglect and sexual abuse.

Most children enjoy generally happy childhood experiences within their own family. Unfortunately for some, this is not the case. You can always ask for advice from Children’s Social Care if you are not sure about a situation: 02476788555. If a child is in immediate danger or left alone, you should contact: Police Child Abuse Investigation Unit: 024 7653 9044 or telephone 999 in an emergency. NSPCC Helpline 0808 800 5000. Child Line (for children and young people) 0800 1111.
