Looking for ideas on how to fit in more activity into your family day?

Depending on the age of your child, whether they’re just starting primary school or in their last year, there are different ways of getting in a little more activity, that could be big movements or little. Some of them you may even do without realising!

 

5-10-year-olds:

 

Using your hands:

  • Throwing and catching
  • Rolling and kicking a ball
  • Playing tennis or other hand-eye co-ordinated games
  • Crafting activities like painting, Lego making

 

Keeping moving:

  • Running
  • Climbing
  • Jumping
  • Riding a bike
  • Using the swings and slide at a park
  • Walk instead of driving/ get off bus a stop early/ use the stairs instead of lift or escalator
  • Activate with Joe Wicks

 

Music and movement:

  • Musical instruments

Sporting activities:
