If you need information or advice from a public health nurse (health visitor or school nurse), did you know there is a secure and confidential text message service available to you?

The secure and confidential service is staffed Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm (excluding bank holidays). You’ll receive an automated message back to confirm that we have received your text, and then you’ll receive a text response within 24 hours.

You can get advice on all aspects of your child’s health and wellbeing, including:

  • healthy eating
  • child development
  • emotional health
  • behaviour difficulties and parenting concerns
  • family health

Healthy Together Helpline

The Healthy Together Helpline can be reached by calling 0300 300 3001. Calls are answered from 9am – 4.30pm on weekdays, excluding bank holidays. Calls are charged at the same rate as calling a standard landline number.

The helpline complements the existing ChatHealth confidential text messaging service, available to parents and carers of children aged 0-11 in Leicestershire and parents, carers and young people aged 0-19 in Leicester city.
