Free holiday clubs and activities available in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland this summer

In Leicestershire and Rutland

Leicestershire Council are offering free holiday clubs this summer for children and young people eligible for free school meals.

Families can sign up now for the sessions which include activities such as zorbing, crafting, football, archery, cooking, drama and dodgeball.

Free junior gym and swim summer memberships and meal vouchers are available for eligible young people at selected Everyone Active leisure centres. They can also sign up for free youth coaching sessions.

Eligible parents and carers will receive an e-voucher from hello@holidayactivities.com. They can then view activities and use their e-code to book a place.

In Leicester City

You can keep your children moving while schools out at your local children, young people and family centre by taking part in Leicester City Council’s Ready, Set, Read themed Get Up and Go programme of activities.

Get walking

Choose How You Move provide free short group walks in Leicester, including some family friendly walks. Discover the summer walks programme.

If you prefer to explore independently, there are self-guided walks available.  There are some beautiful parts of Leicester to discover on foot, so why not go on an adventure to explore your local surroundings. Choose How You Move Leicester has over 200 routes for you to choose from, many are family friendly.
